Consuming…

I remember my dad used to spend almost all day at work and come home late. The time he used to spend with us was really very short (well, the time he spent with us was too short actually :/ R.I.P Dad). But I also remember him getting very furious over work, I also remember that it made him sick, the stress and nervousness now seem to be too much.

I knew that he didn’t plan to get involved in the family business, he was planning to work abroad and stuff, but the circumstances required him to stay and stick around the business as my grandfather got old and couldn’t manage by himself. Although Dad influenced the business positively in many ways, he often got furious at the employees because they’re not doing their jobs as he briefed them. And the consequences were not quite good, so he used to get angry.

The way I see this…

Dad had planned his life differently…
to reach that one thing he’d always wanted…
but he got chained down, well not ‘chained’…
after all he was helping keep his father’s business running…
but this noble sacrifice may have cost him his plans…
so he was stuck with this path…
giving away his dreams and plans…
now this is where he could work and achieve…
but it’s not as easy as it seems…
although business has improved and expansions occurred…
it was his continuous caring and concern to every single thing…
to get done the way he sees they should be…
but the fear of carelessness and disregard of others…
that cost him his health, maybe even his life ultimately…

Long story short, this isn’t what I’m gonna waste myself on

*shuts down design and goes to sleep…*
